Airbus have come up with a way to keep delivering aircraft in a way that is safe in the current environment. This is delivering aircraft without personal contact. This is a process that carries out the usual parts of the delivering process without the need to travel. This will allow aircraft acceptance to occur in a way that is socially distant during this coronavirus crisis.

There are three steps involved. The first step is Technical Acceptance Completion (TAC). This usual involves the customer checking out the aircraft, testing the tyres and taking the aircraft on an acceptance flight. Airbus is now delegating this process to themselves or to a third party appointed to the airline.

The second step involves the Transfer of Title (ToT). Airbus have started e-Sales Contact which is a secure collaborative platform. This allows contractual transactions to take place between the customers, Airbus and other key parties. This means that no team members will need to travel to Airbus offices to finalise this sale.

The last step is transporting the new aircraft to its owner. The Airlines sent their own crew appointed by a third party to collect the sanitised aircraft to fly it home. This is done in the safest way possible.

Pegasus Airlines have already accepted three of they Airbus A320neo in this new contactless process. This enhances their efficiency, flexibility, transparency and is more environmentally friendly. Airbus expect more airlines to follow Pegasus Airlines in this approach.

This process has only risen due to the Coronavirus outbreak but there is speculation around it that it will become the new way of accepting aircraft.
