Chadian Air Force Sukhoi Su-25 Frogfoot accidentally launched a missile while refuelling at Aérienne Kossei Airbase on the 16th of April. The airbase borders the capital city's N'Djamena International Airport (NDJ/FTTJ). The aircraft was preparing to take off from the airbase when it accidentally launched a missile killing five.
The missile ended up piercing through a French Army fuel tank and narrowly missed their C130H Hercules. The French Air Force were operating at the base at the time of the incident. It struck a nearby house belonging to a senior Chadian officer killing five people. Three of these people were children according to local news reports. The incident is currently under investigation.
