Air Baltic is only to use their Airbus a220’s after the Covid-19 pandemic ends. There is plans to use their Boeing 737-300s this year and possible next year but for now they won’t be used on regular flights and their operations will be suspended. It is looking to be the same case with their De Havilland aircraft according to Chief Executive Martin Gauss who told news agency LETA.

The Latvian government have currently imposed travel restrictions on the country and therefore all operations will be suspended until at least the 14th of April.

Air Baltic have a rather small fleet of three types of aircraft. Four Boeing 737-300’s, twelve Bombardier Dash 8-400’s and twenty two Airbus a220-300’s. The airline has placed a firm order for twenty eight more Airbus a220’s. The Airbus jet is currently being used for operate cargo charters during these unusual times.
