On the 19th of April, Titan Airways sent their Airbus A318 to the British island of St. Helena (HLE/FHSH) from Accra, Ghana (ACC/DGAA) to transport medical supplies. Flight AWC001B flew three hours to get to the island with medical staff, 960 Covid-19 test kits, 5 ventilators and 23 tonnes of supplies to help battle the coronavirus. This was the first Airbus airliner to land in the airport.

The aircraft used was an Airbus A318 registered G-EUNB. It is the only A318 in the fleet of 12. The airline also operate 2 Airbus A320s, 2 Boeing 737-400s, 2 Boeing 757-200s and 1 Boeing 767-300NR. Titan is also scheduled to take delivery of four new airliners later this year two A321LRs and two A321P2Fs. According to the airline they will become the first operator of the converted freighter in the northern hemisphere.

The English and Welsh registered airline, founded in 1988 and are based in London Stansted, are primarily used from short notice ACMI's and wet leasing operators. ACMI also known as damp or wet leasing is when two airlines join an agreement where the lessor provides the other airline with aircraft, crew maintenance and insurance (ACMI) in return for block, hourly payment. The airline also operates ad-hoc passengers and cargo charter services for tours, corporations, governments and social sectors such as sport and entertainment. Ad-hoc passenger is when there is an irregular flight scheduled to bring back passengers in one or a series of flights when their chartered airline has no scheduled services.

Titan Airways provided a very interesting operation on the 16th of May, 2016 here in Cork, Ireland. They used their Boeing 767-300NR registered G-POWD to fly the Star Wars cast and crew from Belfast to Cork. The crew head off to County Kerry to film Star Wars Episode 8 before taking off from Cork again.
